VERY IMPORTANT! Make sure you copy the link (highlighted above) that is generated when you upload your image. You will want to copy and paste this URL into the header or logo URL field in your Affiliate Theme Main settings panel.

Please note that in order to upload an image, you must first have the “wp-content/uploads” folder set to permission of 777. If you get an error that about permission errors, you will either need to contact your web host to have them fix, or sign up for a web host that is more WordPress friendly, such as Bluehost.

Plugin Installation Instructions

The great thing about WordPress 2.7 is that you can install all plugins without having to leave the WordPress dashboard. Below, is a short video screencast showing you how to install a WordPress plugin.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to install a new WordPress theme.

One thing I recommend doing before following this tutorial is making sure you have the theme in a .Zip format saved somewhere on your computer.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU UPLOAD THE .ZIP FOLDER AND NOT THE THEME FOLDER WHEN UPLOADING TO WORDPRESS

Installing a New WordPress Theme

1. Once you are in the WordPress Dashboard, make your way over to the left hand side of the screen and click on the “Appearance” link.

4. Now, click the “Browse” button to select the theme’s .Zip file from your computer.

To install a self-hosted version of WordPress, you will first need to have a domain and hosting. If you do not have a web host yet, we recommend signing up for Bluehost. You can get a domain and hosting for only $6.95 per month.

Once you have signed up for a web host, you can install WordPress via uploading via FTP or via 1-Click installation (only available on some web hosts). If you do not have an FTP program, we recommend Transmit for Mac or FileZilla for Windows.

Once you have your hosting and FTP client ready, you can install WordPress in as little as 5-minutes.
